I cannot change the patches.
When the editing knob is at other than "PLAY", you are editing a specific patch, you cannot change to other patch. Please return the editing knob to "PLAY".
When using with an optional foot switch FS01, what kind of functions will become possible?
Bypass/mute, Tap tempo, Bank up, Rhythm function on/off, Delay hold and Delay mute will become possible.
As output level of each programmed patch is uneven, I would like to keep them even.
Please adjust "PATCH LEVEL" parameter for each patch to keep the output level even. You can set up total patch level.
Though I work expression pedal, after selected "Pedal Wah" in WAH/EFX module, I have no Wah effect.
After selected "Pedal Wah" in the module, you must assign expression pedal to Wah module.
Please assign expression pedal to WAH/EFX module, with pressing Pedal Assign key several times.
This is same for another RTM effects.
Or when you step on expression pedal strongly, assigned effect turns ON/OFF.
When rhythm function is turned on, REVERB modules are automatically turned off.
Due to limitation of DSP resource, REVERB modules cannot be used in rhythm function.
The hold delay function does not work.
To use the hold delay function, an optional foot switch (FS01) is required.
Can the USB interface also be used with software other than Cubase LE?
Since the unit is recognized as a standard audio interface, other DAW software besides Cubase can be used. You may also perform audio playback through the unit using Windows Media Player or Apple iTunes and play along with your favorite tunes. For information on settings for DAW software besides Cubase, consult the respective manufacturer.
I can use the USB audio interface functions for recording, but there is no sound from my computer speakers.
When using the B2.1u as a USB audio interface, audio signals of the computer are output via the B2.1u. Therefore you should connect the speakers to the B2.1u output, not to the computer.
How can I set the patch level?
The patch level setting is made in play mode. Proceed as follows.
1. Set the module selector to "PLAY".
2. Turn parameter knob 3 to adjust the level to obtain a suitable volume.
3. Press the [STORE] key to save the setting.
When using the expression pedal as a volume pedal, is it possible to set a minimum volume level?
No. When the expression pedal is fully raised, the volume will be zero.
When trying to install Cubase LE, a serial number input screen comes up, but entering the serial number of my unit does not work, and the installation does not proceed.
The serial number on the unit starting with six numerals is the ZOOM serial number which is different from the Cubase LE serial number. The Cubase LE serial number can be found on the sleeve of Cubase LE CD-ROM. It is the 10-digit number called "Authorization Number".
Can effect patches be edited using a computer?
No, this is not possible. The USB interface of the B2.1u does not support transfer of patch data.
The TAP key is flashing, although I am not using the rhythm function.
In patches where the DELAY module is ON, the TAP key will flash to indicate the currently set delay time. You can change the delay time by repeatedly pressing the TAP key.
Can the unit operate on USB bus power?
Yes, the unit supports operation on USB bus power supplied by the computer.
Is there a patch preselect function?
No, the unit does not have a patch preselect function.
Does the unit come with a USB cable?
No, a USB cable is not supplied. Please purchase a commercially available USB cable (A/B type).
Does the unit support the 64-bit version of Windows Vista and Windows 7?
Yes. The latest Audio Driver supports the 64-bit version of Windows Vista and Windows 7. This driver software is freely available from
