I cannot play "JAM PLAY".
Usually, you need to step (press) the expression pedal stronger and deeply, in order to switch on. Otherwise you cannot enter the "JAM PLAY MODE".
When I attempt to get the GFX-8 on line, using the provided soft ware editor, I get the error message, "there are no GFX-8 found".
Please check if you have choice of Sound Card, which you are using, in Pull Down Menu for MIDI "IN" & "OUT", both of them.
As output level of each programmed patch is uneven, I would like to keep them even.
Please adjust " Patch Level" parameter for each patch to keep the output level even. You can set up total patch level. The "Level" parameter of EQ module can also be used to adjust the output level.
Is it possible to turn on/off effect modules by foot pedals?
GFX-8 has a function which you can assign each effect module to foot pedals and turn on/off each effect. This function is called " Manual Mode". Foot pedals of GFX-8 can be just like on/off switch of stomp box. Please refer to explanation of " Manual Mode" in operation manual.
Effects, such as " Wah" using expression pedal, do not start.
Expression pedal operates also as an on/off switch for assigned effect by stepping on. Please step on ahead more strong. Refer to " Adjusting the expression pedal" in operation manual.
Using Sampler function, it cannot record.
Please check operation, connection and output level of the playback equipment (CD player etc) of sound source for sampling. Also, input level must become too small when the connection cable is " with resistor" type. Please use " no resistor" type cable.
Does GFX-8ED correspond to both Windows and Macintosh?
Both Windows and Macintosh version are prepared. You need Windows 95/98 (Pentium 166MHz or later, or Mac OS later than System 7.5.3 or Mac Os 8.0. In case of Macintosh, you need OMS.
Is it possible to use the software "GFX8ED" on the Windows2000 or XP?
It is possible, however installer (setup.exe) contained in supplied CD-ROM is not working. So please install GFX8ED by following method.
1)Display all contents of supplied CD-ROM.
2)One file "setup.exe" and two folders "english" and "japanese" are available.
3)Copy "english" folder to any drive/folder.
4)Re-name it to "GFX8ED".
5)Open this folder and make shortcut of "GFX8ED.exe" on the desktop.
6)Double Click this shortcut and then "GFX8ED" starts.
Note: Please refer Windows help how to re-name or how to make shortcut.
Foot switch got off apart from its guide, also from main unit.
Depends on how to use for a long time, part of foot switch and its guide could be abraded, and switch got off from apart from the unit. We are providing improved switch and its guide together, which will never be abraded, so that unit can be semi-permanently fixed by repair.

When using the expression pedal as a volume pedal, is it possible to set a minimum volume level?
No. When the expression pedal is fully raised, the volume will be zero.
