MS-50G

When I use the MS-50G connected to a guitar amp, high frequencies are exaggerated and the sound is painful.

Open the GLOBAL menu and check the OUTPUT parameter. If set to DIRECT, which is for line connections, a painful high-frequency sound will result. Change the setting to the one most appropriate for the type of guitar amp that you are using. For details, see page 11 of downloadable Effects list from our website.

Can I switch ON/OFF more than two effects simultaneously?

Yes, you can. Normally, the effect which displayed in LCD can be turned ON/OFF, but by using the line selector effect, the effects chained after the line selector can be switched ON/OFF at once.

Can I set delay time and/or rate of modulation by tap tempo using footswitch?

Yes, you can. A footswitch can be set for tap tempo to set delay time and/or modulation rate. Please refer to 16 page of Owners’ Manual for details.

Does the MS-50G have delay effects to keep delay tails when I turn off the delay?

Yes, it has. All delay effects have “Tail” parameter that keeps delay tails (sounds of feedback) when you turn off the delay.

Can I use six instances of the same effect simultaneously?

Yes, you can. For example, you could use six delay effects with different settings to create a complex delay sound.

*Some effects cannot be used six instances at once by limitation of the size of DSP resources.

Is it possible to restore just one specific effect patch to its factory default?

No, it can’t. All settings can be restored to default settings with Factory Initialize function, but it cannot restore just once specific effect patch to the factory default settings.

Can I use it as USB audio interface?

No, it can’t. Its USB port is available for firmware update only.

Can the MS-50G run on USB bus power?

Yes, it can. The MS-50G can receive and use power supplied by a computer’s USB bus.

Is a USB cable included?

No, a USB cable is not included. Please use a commercially-available USB cable (A, Mini-B type).

Does it have headphones output?

No, it hasn’t. MS-50G was designed to connect to guitar amps, so it doesn’t have headphones output.

“Low Battery!” appears on the display. What should I do?

When the remaining battery charge becomes low, this warning appears, encouraging you to change the batteries. Please change them as soon as possible.

Can I use nickel-metal hydride (Ni-MH) batteries?

Yes, you can. Please use the “SETTINGS” menu and set the “BATTERY TYPE” to “Ni-MH” in order to allow the remaining battery charge to be shown properly.

Is there any problem with using an AC adapter or USB bus power to operate the MS-50G while batteries are still in it?

No, there is no problem. The batteries will not be drained in these cases.

Does it have rhythm machine or rhythm functions?

No, it hasn’t. MS-50G was designed to connect to guitar amps as a stombox effect pedal, so it doesn’t have rhythm functions.

I cannot find the list of effects’ parameters. Isn’t it included?

The effects’ list with detailed description is available from Zoom website.
